Supporting Recovery Where It’s Needed Most

When Light the Way was founded, we received an incredible response from those eager to support individuals facing substance use disorder. That spirit of compassion continues to drive our mission today. Donations can come from anyone, anywhere, but their impact remains local, supporting residents of Beaufort and Jasper Counties as they embark on their recovery journeys.

“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference.”

      What Your Donation Provides

Recovery is not just about treatment, it’s about stability, dignity, and support. Contributions to Light the Way are used to cover essential costs that many individuals cannot afford on their own, including:

      • Treatment and recovery services
      • Recovery residence housing for up to three months
      • Prescription medication costs
      • Insurance premiums
      • Rent and utilities
      • Food and basic necessities
      • Clothing
      • Transportation and travel costs related to treatment and recovery needs

By addressing these practical needs, we help individuals focus fully on healing without the stress of financial hardship.

      How We Operate

A Focus on Safe, Supported Detox

Light the Way offers support for at-home detox only, allowing individuals to detox in a familiar and safe environment with proper guidance and planning. This approach helps us lower costs while prioritizing safety, comfort, and dignity during one of the most vulnerable stages of recovery.

      About Light the Way

The Cost of a Journey and How We Stretch Every Dollar

On average, it costs $7,000 per recovery journey. This includes:

      • Treatment services
      • Three months in a recovery residence
      • Prescription medications
